Do not take JELIKO seriously. This joke was around last year, it started on
one of New England schools. Next thing will be really a message with header
"good times" with no virus in it and you are supposed to soil your pants by
simple seeing it. :-)  My colleague is collecting viruses and he spent great
deal of time last year collecting absolutely harmless messages with "good
times" header.

So do not worry.

newgroupokon hasonlokeppen...
En csak annyit szeretnek mondani, hogy szerintem  eloszor azt kell
tisztaznunk, hogy ez a newsgroup nem csak magyar nyelvueknek all
rendelkezesere...ide mindazok irhatnak, akik erdeklodnek a magyar
kultura irant, informaciot szeretnenek gyujteni Magyarorszagrol,
"talalkozni" szeretnenek magyar emberekkel, vagy egyszeruen csak
nezeteiket szeretnek kicserelni..hol tehetnek ezt meg jobban, mint itt?
En ugy velem, hogy a legcsodalatosabb dolog a newgroupokban, hogy
mindekinek lehetosege van a kommunikaciora; nemzetisegtol, vallastol,
borszintol eltekintve....
Miert probalnank mindezt megszuntetni?

Termeszetesen, aki magyarul szereretne irni, irjon magyarul....azt
hiszem a legtobb magyar igy for irni...miert inranak angolul ha
nincsenek raszorulva?
Akik pedig nem tudnak magyarul , vagy konnyebb igy kifejezniuk magukat,
irjanak angolul.....

First of all I think we have to make it clear that this newsgroup is not
only a service for Hungarians, for people who speak the language..it is
also there for all of those who are interested in our culture, language,
want to collect some imformation about Hungary, want to "meet" Hungarian
people, or simply just would like to exchange their ideas...where could
they do it better than here?
I think, the most beautiful thing in the newsgroups in general is that
everybody has the opportunity to communicate, regardless of nationality,
religion, race or anything...why would we want to ruin that?

Of course, those who want to write in Hungarian( like most Hungarians
would do I assume, why wouldn't they?), do so....
and those who are more at ease with English, write in English....
It is quite simple..:)

I'd also be curious to find out how in the world could a virus be spread
via email. That seems impossible to me...

I was informed that the virus alert posted yesterday is a false alarm, or
more like a new urban legend. Sorry for the false alarm. Satan is another
matter, but it is not passed as easily.

The Hungarian Old Scouts - Matyas Hunyadi Workshop (Hunyadi Matyas
Munkakozosseg, HMMK) is preparing to publish a CD-ROM disk about Hungary
(Eleven Hundred Years of Success). The disk will contain about 60 English
language books. These selected books were scanned into electronic files
but since the scanner incorrectly interpreted a number of characters, the
scanned text contains many mistakes. To correct these mistakes is a big
job, and the HMMK is looking for volunteers who would help them in this
task.

The leader of the workshop, Szabolcs Magyarody, asked me to publish this
appeal for help to the readers of Hungary list since he has no internet
access at present. If anyone is intersted to help in this matter please
write to me and I will pass the information on to him.

Latest news is that it's still alive and kicking!  Don't worry about
"good times", but beware of hard ones!
